This is a beautiful all wooden old sign. Horseshoe shape.  The flowers & leaves are hand painted.  The words are carved in or maybe even done by 'wood burning'. Size 7 1/2" x 8 1/2.  A fellow blogger did some research for me & found the following:  "Verblijdt u in den Heere".  It is a municipality in the district of Wolfenbüttel, in Lower Saxony, Germany.  "verblijdt - gladden".  So it looks like some sort of souvenir item.  The horseshoe is a sign of a good luck.  Great overall vintage condition.
